1. The service
SF Black Car Service provides chauffeur-driven luxury ground transportation in the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles. We arrange airport transfers, hourly chauffeur service, wine tours, corporate transportation, special-event transport, and executive travel using our own vetted fleet and chauffeurs.
2. Reservations & confirmation
A reservation is considered confirmed only after we contact you (typically by phone or text) and acknowledge it in writing or verbally. Submitting a booking form or speaking to dispatch starts the process — but a confirmation message is the contract.
It is your responsibility to provide accurate pickup details, contact information, and (for airport transfers) a flight number. We're not responsible for missed pickups caused by incorrect or out-of-date information.
3. Pricing & payment
- Quoted rates apply at the time of booking and are based on the service type, distance or duration, vehicle, and any special requirements.
- Standard gratuity (20%) is included on all reservations unless otherwise noted. Additional tips for exceptional service are welcome and entirely at your discretion.
- Tolls, parking fees, airport access fees, and applicable taxes are billed in addition to the quoted rate.
- For hourly bookings extended on the day, additional time is billed in 30-minute increments at the same hourly rate.
- Payment is processed by credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Zelle. Corporate accounts can be invoiced. We do not accept cash for the trip itself.
4. Cancellations & changes
Cancellation windows and refund tiers vary by vehicle and trip type. The full breakdown lives on our Cancellation Policy page. Schedule changes (different time, additional stops, vehicle swap) are accommodated whenever possible — call us as early as you can.
5. Conduct & cabin policy
Our chauffeurs are professionals. We expect every guest to treat them — and the vehicle — with the same courtesy. Specifically:
- No smoking or vaping in any vehicle. A $300 cleaning and recovery fee will apply if this policy is violated.
- Alcohol is permitted only for guests 21+ and only in the Limo Sprinter and Maybach (where it's offered on request). Open containers are not permitted in sedans or SUVs.
- No illegal substances of any kind in any vehicle. Possession may result in immediate termination of the trip without refund.
- Damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear (spills, stains, broken interior elements) is the responsibility of the booking guest, billed at actual cost of repair plus lost-revenue while the vehicle is out of service.
- Chauffeurs reserve the right to end a trip without refund if they reasonably feel unsafe or if guests violate this policy.
6. Lost items
Please check the vehicle before stepping out. If you discover something missing, contact us as soon as possible at +1 (415) 705-9199. We make every reasonable effort to locate and return lost items, but we are not responsible for personal property left behind.
7. Delays, traffic & force majeure
We work hard to be on time and we plan generous buffers, but traffic, weather, road closures, accidents, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control can affect arrival times. We are not liable for missed flights, missed connections, or other consequential losses caused by such delays. For airport transfers we strongly recommend booking with enough buffer for unexpected conditions.
8. Insurance & liability
SF Black Car Service is fully licensed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and carries commercial liability and passenger insurance well above state minimums. Our liability for any claim related to our service is limited to the amount paid for the trip giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law prevents such limitation.
9. Use of website & booking system
This website and our booking widget are provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate and available, but we don't guarantee they'll be error-free or uninterrupted. Content (text, images, design) is the property of SF Black Car Service or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
10. Privacy
Your personal information is handled per our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or our service shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. The version in effect at the time you book is the version that applies to your reservation.
